How to get started today!
You need an active email address to use myHealth at Drexel Medicine.
- Visit your provider's office.
Provide a personal email address to our staff and sign a consent form. You will need to visit your provider's office in person to do so. However, you don't need to make an appointment. Just stop in and our staff will be happy to assist you.
- Get the email. Click on the link.
Once you're signed up by our office staff, you will receive an email invitation in your inbox. Follow the link and enter the access code that's provided to you in the email.
- Follow the directions.

About the Portal
What is the myHealth at Drexel Medicine patient portal?
The myHealth at Drexel Medicine patient portal provides access to a secure, convenient and free way to manage your personal health information at Drexel Medicine. Drexel Medicine has partnered with Allscripts Healthcare, under the name "Follow myHealth," to provide the patient portal to you. This portal is for Drexel Medicine visits only, and does not include Tenet or Hahnemann University Hospital.
What is available now at myHealth at Drexel Medicine?
You can see your:
- Visit summaries within 24 hours of your visit
- Laboratory test results after reviewed by your doctor
- Documented medical problems
- Documented medications, allergies and vaccinations
You can also:
- Communicate securely with your doctor's office(s)
- Have your health information available at all times
- Have easy access to your information

What equipment do I need to sign up?
You can use any computer with internet access or a smart phone, with Internet Explorer 8.0 or higher, or modern versions of Chrome, Firefox or Safari. If you are using your smart phone — iPhone or Android — you must first install the Follow myHealth mobile app. Drexel Medicine has contracted with the vendor Allscripts Healthcare to provide access to the patient portal under the name Follow myHealth (FMH).
How do I sign up?
- You will be asked to sign a consent form and provide your email address to office staff during your appointment.
- The staff will verify your information with you and provide you with an agreed upon security code.
- Once your information is verified and you have a security code, the staff will send you an email inviting you to sign up.
- In this invitation, a link will be provided that will take you to the myHealth at Drexel Medicine Follow myHealth (FMH) login page.
What if I did not receive an email after I signed up?
If you don't see your invite in your inbox, please check your spam, junk or quarantine file.
Why did my email invitation for the portal come from Follow myHealth?
When I was trying to create my username in Follow myHealth (FMH), I got a pop up message saying "Username already exists." How can this be and what do I do?
When creating your username, you may get an alert that tells you "Username already exists. Please enter a different username." Because FMH lets you create any name you choose for your account, it is possible that someone else who already has a FMH account has chosen that same name for their account. The system will not let two users have the same username. Make a change to the username you selected (like adding a number or extra letter to the beginning or end) and try again. Please make sure it is something you will remember.
What if I need help?

How do I log on for the first time?
- In your email invitation, a link will be provided that will take you to the (FMH) myHealth at Drexel Medicine's login page.
- You will be asked to create a username and password. Please follow the online directions. Make note of this information for your own reference. If you forget your username, we will have to recreate your account.
- We recommend keeping the email open until you are completely registered. This link ties and transmits your medical health record to the new portal account.

Is my information safe?
Our first priority is patient privacy and the safety of patient information. All records are stored on and transmitted via secure means. We also ask each patient to sign up in person at their physician's office so that we can confirm all the information.
Will my entire record be available?
At this time, there are certain portions of your health record that are not available via the portal, such as your radiology reports.
Who do I speak to about concerns if I don't agree with something in my chart?
Please call your doctor's office to discuss your concerns with the staff.
My doctor used to send me a letter with my lab results. Will that come to the portal?
There are several different ways your doctor can communicate with you now that you have a portal account. Your doctor could add notes right to the lab results. To view these messages, go to the "My Health" tab and click "Results." A lab result that contains a note from your provider will display with an asterisk (*) next to the name of the test and the words (see details). To view these details, click the details icon (piece of paper with a magnifying glass) at the far right side of the row.
Your provider could have also sent you a Results Communication Letter. This can also be found under the My Health section under the Documents tab. Click the details icon on the far right of the selected document to view the letter.

Can I share my personal health record with a family member or someone else involved in my care?

Messages to Your Health Care Team
myHealth at Drexel Medicine patient portal is not to be used for urgent issues. In the event of a medical emergency or life-threatening condition, please call 9-1-1.
What kind of messages should I send to my doctor?
myHealth at Drexel Medicine patient portal allows you to send a secure message for routine, non-urgent questions to your provider. Do not send messages that are urgent in nature.
Schedule an appointment: Fill in as many details as possible so that we can process your request. Tell us the times and days that work the best for you. Remember, you can only request an appointment for a provider you have already seen in the office at least once and who is participating in the portal.
Request a referral: When you enter a request for a referral, please include the following information within the text box:
- Your name
- Your date of birth
- The date of the appointment that you have scheduled with the provider that requires the referral
- The name of the practice or physician that you have the appointment with and their provider NPI number, which their office can give to you
Renew a prescription: Please make sure your pharmacy information is up to date in the system.
Send a message: Please provide as many details in your message as possible so that we may better assist you.
When will I receive a response?
Please allow at least two business days for your message to be answered by a member of our health care team.
How will I be notified when something new has been added to my health record?
You will receive an email notification to check the portal when an update has been made to your medical record.

Is there a time-out setting once you're logged in?
Yes, you will be automatically logged out after 10 minutes of inactivity.
What if I forget my password?
You can reset your password online. Please click the "Forgot My Password" link on the login screen and follow the instructions there.
What if I change my personal email address?
To ensure proper identification, any changes to the email address used for your account will need to be done in person at our office.
