Pediatric Skin Care

Baby getting a massage.

Our board-certified pediatric dermatologist and several other Drexel dermatologists specialize in treating pediatric skin conditions, which can be quite different from those of adults. Drexel Dermatology cares for pediatric patients from St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, as well as from many Philadelphia and South Jersey pediatricians.

Our pediatric dermatologists take a family-centered approach to provide the highest quality care for infants, children and adolescents. We know younger patients often require specialized care and understanding, and we are committed to educating families about all diagnoses and available treatment options.

Drexel Dermatology's pediatric specialists offer a full range of care for a variety of disorders that affect the skin, hair and nails, including:

Diagnostic procedures such as skin evaluations, biopsies and mole/growth removals are performed in our outpatient office. We also treat vascular lesions, such as infantile hemangiomas, port wine stains, and spider angiomas in-office with a pulsed dye laser. For larger lesions on the head and neck, we have a Mohs surgeon who does pediatric surgery. Our pediatric dermatologists work closely with all physicians at Drexel Dermatology and Drexel Medicine to deliver convenient and comprehensive care.
